They help foreign nationals settle in by providing life orientation, housing arrangements, and assistance with administrative procedures in foreign languages. If it is difficult for the accepting company to set up a support system, it is possible to outsource it to a registered support organization. There are certain standards for the quality and system of support, and only organizations that have been approved and registered with the Immigration Services Agency can operate as registered support organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
What is the Specified Skilled Worker System?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Specified Skilled Worker System is a system for accepting foreign human resources introduced in Japan to make up for the labor shortage in the country. It was established in 2019 and allows foreigners with a certain level of expertise and skills to work in fields such as nursing care, construction, and agriculture. The system consists of “Specified Skills No. 1” and “Specified Skills No. 2,” each of which has different skill levels, periods of stay, and whether or not family members can accompany them.
